Tournament Players Academy
Founder and Director of the Tournament Players Academy, Ripley Amell is a highly respected and well-known development coach in North America having held positions in famous tennis resorts and academies throughout his distinguished career. Prior to moving to the States, Ripley directed the top tennis academy in Canada working with Canada’s best athletes. Once he moved to Florida, positions at Saddlebrook Resort and Innisbrook Resort forged his reputation in the US. Ripley has developed young players to the point of winning the NCAA National Championships. As the Executive Director of the National Tennis Academy in Orlando and now the owner of the Tournament Players Academy, Ripley has helped guide the pathway for college-bound players with over 150 tennis scholarships. College coaches routinely contact him to see if there are any players in his pipeline.
Ripley’s methodology is synonymous with the “game-based” approach helping the athlete understand their personal game style while developing their Technical/Tactical/Physical and Psychological skill set. With over thirty years of developing juniors and adults, there’s not much he hasn’t seen that with the proper corrective protocols cannot be overcome.
